FreightCenter Awarded Service Industry of the Year Award by Pasco Economic Development Council

FreightCenter.com, a third-party freight and logistics company, has won the Service Industry of the Year Award in recognition for their growth and innovation in the past year.
Online freight company FreightCenter.com has been recognized as the winner of the Service Industry of the Year Award by the Pasco Economic Development Council (PEDC). With winning this award, they are recognized for their achievements in their industry as well as contributing to the development and advancement of Pasco County and the Tampa Bay area. This was FreightCenter’s first time being nominated as a finalist for this award.
Each year, the PEDC evaluates and nominates top companies in Pasco County for their technology, innovation, job creation, growth, and capital investment in the area. They also measure companies’ involvement in community activities. All finalists are interviewed on a range of different topics from capital investments and company growth, market & technology innovation to leadership & involvement in industry and community organizations. FreightCenter was presented with the award at the Annual Industry Appreciation Banquet and Trade Show this week with more than 600 guests in attendance.

This recognition comes during a multitude of awards and recognitions in the past few months for FreightCenter – both locally and nationally. They have recently been named to the Inc5000 list of top-growing private companies for the fourth consecutive year. Local awards include making the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s list of 50 fastest-growing companies in the Tampa Bay area for 2010 and the Gulf Coast Business Review’s list of top 500 companies in the entire gulf coast of Florida for both 2009 and 2010.
