YRC Worldwide Receives "STRONG" Carrier of Year Award From FreightCenter.com

FreightCenter.com, a nationwide provider of online freight and logistics software and services, has announced YRC Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: YRCW), a leading transportation service provider, as the first recipient of its STRONG Certified Carrier of the Year Award. YRCW earned this title for 2010 from an extensive group of national and international carriers that FreightCenter.com tests and evaluates on a continuous basis throughout their calendar year.
The STRONG Carrier of the Year Award is a new title that will be given annually to the carrier that demonstrates the highest standards, rankings, and customer satisfaction within FreightCenter’s network of local, regional, and national carriers. YRCW was chosen from a large group of many well-recognized carriers based on its high performance in a range of different qualitative and quantitative criteria. YRCW consistently received the highest ranking in areas of customer service, dependability, quality control, and competitive pricing, among other factors.

The evaluation categories are based on FreightCenter’s STRONG carrier certification program which scores and examines all current and applying carriers on six standards of quality. To become STRONG, a carrier must exemplify their abilities behind being Safe, Trustworthy, Responsive, On-Time, Noteworthy, and Guaranteed. Data such as pricing and invoice precision, dependability, number of claims, and customer service are all factored together and used to rank each carrier.

FreightCenter.com presented YRC Worldwide with the Carrier of the Year Award during an exclusive dinner event with key executives attending from both organizations on Sunday, February 20th at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida. The award presentation recognized YRCW out of six top finalists that all demonstrated the highest STRONG standards of quality.
