October 21, 2011 – FreightCenter’s Co-Founder and CEO Matt Brosious receives the Gulf Coast Business Review’s 2011 “40 Under 40” award for leadership and business management.
Each year the Business Review selects 40 individuals who have taken risks that ultimately led to their success in business. In selecting this year’s crop, the paper’s editors looked for candidates who embody the entrepreneurial spirit by putting new ideas into action.
“It’s an honor to be named to this list of top young professionals,” says Matt Brosious, “After thirteen years in the transportation industry, my excitement for developing cutting-edge freight shipping technology has not waned.”
Over the past year, Brosious has placed a large amount of interest in freight technology, which has sparked development of an open-source freight API for shopping cart integration and its own SaaS-based transportation management system (TMS). FreightCenter powers additional eCommerce Web services, like an eBay shipping calculator and mobile app. The mobile app is due to be released in early 2012 and will allow access to user accounts via iPhone®, iPad® or Android® mobile devices.
