Three Pasco Businesses Recognized for Growth Potential


FreightCenter, a web-based freight solutions company, is among 50 companies to be honored for its achievements in state economic growth and industry development.

PharmaWorks Inc. and the Launch Pad, both of Odessa, and  FreightCenter Inc., headquartered in Trinity, are recipients of the 2011 Florida Companies to Watch award presented by GrowFL, the Florida Economic Gardening Institute at the University of Central Florida and ACG Florida, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation. Fifty Florida companies will receive recognition at a banquet Thursday in Orlando. Florida Companies to Watch honors companies for demonstrating intent and capacity to grow. PharmaWorks designs and manufactures pharmaceutical packaging machinery. The Launch Pad, a division of RevITup Enterprises, is a national business technology solutions provider specializing in fixed-fee managed IT services, managed Web services, data backup services and technology planning for small and midsize business. 

FreightCenter is a freight logistics company that uses Web tools to optimize transportation solutions for customers. The company recently expanded to include leasing 10,000 square feet of new office space and hiring 75 employees. In June 2010, FreightCenter was named a finalist as one of Tampa Bay Business Journal's 50 fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay.
