Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) delayed its annual Roadcheck to Sept. 9th-11th. You may experience shipping delays resulting from thorough 37-point inspections. Also, there is the potential that some drivers may take these days off, which could lead to a lack of capacity. Full truckload and partial truckload shipments will likely feel the greatest impact. The main focus of this year’s nationwide CVSA Roadcheck will be “driver requirements.”
During last year’s 3-day event:
- 3.36 million CMV inspections were conducted.
- 944,764 driver violations were discovered.
- 195,545 of those violations were out-of-service conditions.
