Because light bulbs can break easily, it’s important to package them snugly, with plenty of resilient packaging to take the brunt of any accidental bump the cargo might receive in transit or on the forklift. Bulbs should be in their original cardboard packaging whenever possible. If that’s not possible, wrap each bulb in bubble wrap or tissue paper.
Fill spaces between the bulbs with paper packaging or bubble wrap to keep the bulbs immobile. Insulate the bottom and four sides with foam padding. Place another sheet of foam padding between the top of the bulbs and the double-sided shipping box. Seal the box with packing tape, wrap it with a blanket, and strap it to a shipping pallet. If putting more than one box on the pallet, shrink-wrap them together before banding them to the pallet.
