Measuring your freight correctly is an essential step that will prevent you from being faced with a billing adjustment. Any time your freight exceeds the weight or dimensions of what you initially listed, you will incur a fee during the weight being off. How to Avoid Billing Adjustments on Furniture Shipping

When measuring your freight, you will want to gather the following information: weight, length, width & height.

50 pounds of rocks and 50 pounds of feathers both weigh 50 pounds – right? But 50 pounds of rocks take up much less space and are much denser than 50 pounds of feathers. It could be a business in a desolate area, or a business in a crowded metro area, both of which have the potential to be limited access. The driver is not responsible for assisting you in any way with this step either. If it is determined that the usage of a liftgate is necessary for the pickup or drop off, the driver will use one, and you will get rebilled for it at a higher rate than if you had opted in for it at the time of booking.
